Seawater – a natural elixir for relief
Seawater is more than just a pleasant backdrop for a holiday. It is one of the most perfect natural sources for body regeneration. It contains more than 90 minerals and trace elements, including magnesium, potassium, iodine, and zinc, as well as minerals that have an exceptional ability to:

Fango body wrap
A wrap made from salt-pan mud has numerous beneficial and healing effects. In addition to being excellent for treating rheumatic conditions and muscle pain, it also has a detoxifying effect on the body. The fango wrap accelerates blood circulation and metabolism: through its thermal effect, it stimulates fat digestion and the elimination of toxic substances from the body. It also nourishes the skin with minerals – making it softer, firmer, and more elastic.

The lymphatic system plays an extremely important role in our body. It is responsible for draining excess fluid and collecting and removing waste and harmful substances. The Kneipp path is a novelty we have at Talaso Strunjan in Hotel Svoboda since last year’s renovation of the indoor swimming pool. Walking on it is included in the admission price for the pools or for pools and saunas.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR KNEIPP THERAPY – step by step
It is important to perform the procedure correctly and in a steady rhythm

Start with warm water
The water should be pleasantly warm, but not too hot (36–38 °C).
Warm your feet or legs for 1–2 minutes until you feel the warmth. -
Switch to cold water
The temperature of the cold water should still be tolerable, usually between 10 and 15 °C. Then step into the cold water for 10–15 seconds (until you feel refreshed, not pain). The cold phase should be short but intense.

Alternating: warm – cold – warm – cold
Repeat the process 2 to 3 times. Always finish with cold water, as this increases blood vessel elasticity and stimulates lymph flow.

Warm up after Kneipp therapy
Do not dry your legs or body — let them air dry. Then warm up well with movement (light exercise) or a warm blanket. After Kneipp therapy, the body should be warm – this is the key to success.
When Kneipp therapy is most effective
In the morning, when the body is just waking up; after exercise, for better recovery; with tired or heavy legs; in spring, when the body naturally eliminates toxins; during increased stress (the contrast in water temperature has a calming and refreshing effect).
Kneipp therapy is NOT recommended in cases of acute inflammation, colds and fever, serious vascular diseases or wounds, and in cases of pronounced sensitivity to cold.
How even one day can work
In the fast pace of life, many of us think that proper regeneration requires days or weeks. But thalassotherapy proves the opposite, as its effects accumulate. It works holistically and yes, even a single day is enough for tensions to loosen, circulation to be stimulated, and the body to be relieved of winter pressure.
